I got in a really bad car accident two years ago and my back got all messed up. I used to wake up with such terrible back pain that I did not think I could get out of bed. I went to doctors, chiropractors and massage therapists. Nothing helped out my pain levels. As a last ditch effort I signed up for a body recovery program at the body wellness center in town. The recovery program is run by a certified fitness expert and is a group fitness class. Everyone in the group suffers from physical pain daily. Typically the people in the class are older folks that want to keep muscle as they age. There are a couple of other people who have work related injuries that want to go back to work. We are a weird mix, but I love my body recovery class. My personal trainer is so much fun. The guy has us do a lot of partner exercises and rotates who we work with. Some days I am working with an 80 year old man that hits on me or a man that got his leg crushed while working in the warehouse. It is fun talking to people and seeing the progress everyone is making. I am way more flexible and have better balance. When I wake up in the morning my back still is tight, but I know what to do now. I have stretches that I was given at the fitness class that I do daily. After I stretch and warm up, I am good to go about my day. I am no longer affected by that one awful day in my life.
