It’s interesting because our son is basically a mathematical genius. He has competed in different math competitions and has won numerous times with his team. He actually took over the basement too and it’s basically his study area. He has a bunch of chalk boards and he’s always writing out various mathematical equations. It’s all a bunch of gibberish and nonsense to me, but I have pride that my son is so gifted when it comes to math. I wanted to at least do something to make him more comfortable while he is down there working on his math equations. So I decided to call up the HVAC company to see if I could improve things in the basement. They told me it would be a great idea to hook up a dehumidifier/humidifier combo unit for improved air quality, an air purification system, and also HVAC zone control. It seemed like a lot, but I figured that the comfort for my family was definitely worth it. So I had these HVAC components installed in the household. My son then had his own thermostat to use in the basement when he was practicing his math, and he really appreciated it. He said that it allowed him to focus more and he was able to achieve new breakthroughs that he was struggling with before. I don’t even know what he is talking about half of the time, but I’m glad that he is able to adjust the temperature control settings to his preferences without affecting the rest of the household with HVAC zone control.
