I don’t usually pay for a tune-up service on the heating and air conditioning unit in my home.
I know that it would help the system work more efficiently, but I never think about paying for a tune-up when I have cash in my pocket.
I was sitting in the waiting room at the dentist on Tuesday and my phone was almost dead. I decided to pick up a magazine and leaf through the pages. Most of the magazines were sports or entertainment books, but I found a home repair magazine with coupons and advertisements. The magazine was a local publication with coupons and advertisements from places close to my home. Inside of the magazine, I found a coupon for 20% off heating and air conditioning services. I decided to contact the heating and air conditioning company to see how much the standard tune up service costs. The lady on the phone told me that it was an $89 charge. After 20% off, I would only be required to pay about $70. I thought that was a pretty good deal, so I decided to make an appointment to have the air conditioner serviced. When the technician came to my house to perform the service, I told the guy that I wanted to use the coupon. He told me that the coupon was only good for installation services. Since I wasn’t having anything new installed, I could not use the coupon. I was extremely annoyed and aggravated, because the lady on the phone didn’t tell me that I could not use the coupon.
