When I was 17 years old, I started working with our Mom.
He was working as a cable upgrade specialist.
I thought the work was fun and fast paced, however I didn’t find it very challenging. I got a opening to work for an Heating and Air Conditioning supplier a couple of years later, and I jumped on the opportunity. The owner of the Heating and Air Conditioning supplier was friends with our Mom. He told our Mom that he was looking for a couple of people to train and he was going to offer competitive pay. My Mom thought it was a fantastic opening for me to do something modern and exciting. I met with his friend and the guy agreed to hire me on a part-time basis. It didn’t take long before I was working as a full-time Heating and Air Conditioning upgrade specialist. It was a lot more fun than installing cable and HBO and I l acquired very hastily. I worked alongside that guy for 10 years and I l acquired everything that he had to offer. We installed and repaired a/cs, furnaces, heat pumps, boilers, and many other heating and cooling machines. Now I have our own supplier and I work as a consultant on large scale government tasks and hospitals. I make $125,000 a year and I have a supplier motorcar and an expense account. I started at the bottom and I worked hard to get where I am now. It’s been twenty years, however I still thank the a single guy who believed in me the whole time, our Mom. If it wasn’t for our pops, I’d still be installing cable for $15/hr.
