When you are actually born and raised in the South, I suppose finding a cool spot just comes very natural to us.
If you have experienced the heat and humidity that summertime brings to this area, you’ll totally get what I mean.
However, once that it is over, the weather here is just wonderful. That can make being stuck inside the HVAC cooling way more palatable. But, it sure does take some acclimating and it definitely isn’t for everyone. It does get sizzling and it doesn’t let up for quite some time. It’s best not to stay in the HVAC comfort all the time. I regularly make sure I get out and care about the afternoons and the nights in order to become well adjusted to the summer time hot and cold temperatures. That way, the HVAC setting of 73 plus inside the property feels a whole lot more cool. It is pretty unimaginable to me that there was a time where the heat and humidity had to be endured without new HVAC equipment. But, our Grandma can sure attest to this. She actually remembers being raised in a property where the only cooling comfort was a fan. Her first property had an evaporative cooler which assists with cooling the air. But, it’s truly nothing compared to the consistent and reliable cooling coming from the HVAC heat pump. That had to be pretty rough to deal with. I easily realize that I celebrate that first day each fall when the heat eventually breaks. But that celebration is tempered with a good amount of gratitude for our HVAC equipment and the cooling comfort it brings about.
